CPWD COST INDICES
The CPWD Cost Indices of nearly all major towns are given here. If your place is not in the list, consider the place nearest to you not exceeding 100kms. If the cost index of a particular year is not available, you can co-relate the cost index of the place with Delhi whose cost indices for all the years are given. Check the percent of available cost index of your place above or below to Delhi cost index. Now choose the cost index of the required year from Delhi cost index. Modify the same in the same proportion above or below of the compared cost index. The resultant cost index of your place is approximately 10% here or there. If you find any mistake in the data base, please inform us by email.
You can also contribute the cost Indices available with you & send the same to valuersworld@gmail.com, we shall update the data base.

The cost indices are given state wise.

Why one is not able to down load indices for any region irrespective of what is ones location? I was unable to do it. Any specific reason for it?

all the indices listed above are downloadable, irrespective of your location. the only reason you may not have been able to download it, in my opinion, is because you logged into your account some time back and (or for some similar reason) you were logged out, and hence the download did not happen. the other possibility is that popups are disabled in your browser and hence the other window did not open - in that case, try changing settings or use alternate browser...

For some architectural projects of CPWD that we are doing in Bhavnagar city of Gujarat, we were asked by the department to derive the valuation index based on prevailing market rates, which is attached herewith for the reference of all. Please note that this index by approved by CPWD for Bhavnagar city as on 21-07-2011. Hope it helps.

DSR 2012 has since been introduced by CPWD and hence the above CI are null and void.
The Cost Index based on Delhi Plinth Area Rates – 2007 as base 100 as on 1/10/2007, as corresponds to DSR 2012, is 149.
It may be observed that CI of many locations is well above 149.
I Thus wonder that for locations that had adopted a higher CI persuant to the above notifications, would they observe a negative trend? Kindly elaborate...
