Dear karunakchn,
This is an excellent Query, and I hope it brings in responses from Valuers from across the country.
My response is as follows:
Most indian valuers do not use any dedicated software for Valuation Assignments. There is only one offering from Indian Company, by the name of Super Real Valuation / Valuation_PM / Valuation of Shares, offered by a Pune based Agboatwala. Details can be found at http://www.supercivilcd.com/. The s/w is very reasonably priced, but I have not firsthand feedback of the product.
There is another Australian Company which is presently popular (or aggressive, if you may say) - by the name of ValuePRO - more details at valueprosoftware.in.
One more option is available at Anow.com which is a US based company.
One of the lacuna of Indian Valuation Reporting is that every financial institution has varying reporting format, as well as their requirements keep changing. Hence the program will need to be utterly flexible, and yet simple.
A lot of valuers are doing in house developments, based on their own requirements and skills.
Please do let me know your findings in this area...
